Freddie Lee Sallette, Sr. was born on December 31, 1946, to Ivory Sallette and Fannie Lee Sallette in Macon, Georgia. He received his education through the Bibb County School System, graduated from Ballard Hudson High School and attended college for two years.
From an early age, Freddie displayed a kind spirit and a warm personality that would later make him beloved by so many. He was a devoted son, a Loyal friend, and someone whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.
During his adult life, Freddie was a dedicated and hardworking employee. He worked for the United States Post Office and later at Robins Air Force Base, from which he retired. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. Freddie was admired by colleagues and supervisors alike for his integrity and willingness to go above and beyond. His years of faithful service reflected his character—steady, dependable, and honorable.
Most importantly, Freddie loved the Lord with all his heart. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in the choir ministry. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his actions and shaping the way he loved and cared for others.
He was preceded in death by his son, Irvin Orlando Sallette, Sr.
Freddie leaves to cherish his memories to three sons, Freddie (Lisa) Sallette, Jr., Marcus (Victoria) Sallette and Shannon (Angela) Sallette, Sr.; sisters, Barbara Cornelius and Gloria Gean Freeman and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was truly loved by his family, friends, and community, and his memory will forever be cherished.
