Frank Wright Obituary

Frank Lee Wright, born on July 24, 1964, in Macon, Georgia, to the late John Sr. and Frankie Mae Wright, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 61. He was raised with love on the family grounds in Lizella, Georgia, where he built a life full of dedication, laughter, and strong family bonds.

A proud graduate of Southwest Macon High School’s Class of 1982, Frank was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where his foundation of faith was established. He perfected his craft as a self-employed drywall installer, his work ethic, skill, and pride in his trade were unmatched and admired by many.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved parents and five siblings: Jimmie Wright, John Wright Jr., Ronald “Rat” Wright, Lola “Pam” Wright, and Gwendolyn Spikes. Though their absence was deeply felt, he continued to honor their memories through his actions and words.

He leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life: Charlene Davis, a devoted friend and former wife; his loving son, Frank Lee (Will) Wright Jr.; and his cherished granddaughter, McKenzie Wright. Frank is also survived by five siblings: Mary Jones (Atlanta, GA), Alfonza “Pete” Wright (Stockbridge, GA), Russell “Boywright” Wright (Lizella, GA), Patty Nwaopara (Hampton, GA), and Veronica Starks (Atlanta, GA)—all of whom vow to keep his memory alive until they meet again. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends also mourn his passing and will forever miss his presence.

Frank found joy in the open road, whether riding motorcycles or talking about fast cars. He was a true race car enthusiast and loved nothing more than spending time with friends, sharing stories, and reflecting on the good things in life.

The family will be asking you to join us in remembering Frank at a later date which will be announced in the upcoming weeks. His journey on earth has ended, but the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
