CELEBRATING A LIFE WELL LIVED
Erwin Palmer Sr. transitioned this life on October 20, 2025, in Macon, Georgia at the age of 77. Erwin was surrounded by family, who cherished every moment spent together and will forever hold his memory close to their heart.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Erwin was born on January 15, 1948 in Macon, Georgia to Chester Palmer Sr. and Marie Goolsby Palmer, who preceded him in death. He attended primary and high school (Ballard Hudson Senior High School) in Macon and later attended Job Corp.
CAREER AND COMMUNITY SERVICE
Erwin retired from working at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike. He was also well known in the community as “Dr. Rhythm,” the DJ persona he created while working at Skateland and Olympia Skate Center in Macon, Georgia.
FAMILY AND PERSONAL LIFE
Erwin is survived by his former wife, Doris Palmer; children, Jerryle Palmer, Darryle Palmer, Muriel Palmer-Colstock (Felix Colstock), Erwin Palmer Jr., Efren Palmer, Tamiko Finney, and Erwin Palmer II (Fireball); siblings brother, Quinton Palmer of Macon and sister, Rose Palmer of Brentwood New York, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends, each of whom were deeply touched by Erwin’s love, wisdom, and kindness.
LEGACY
The legacy of Erwin will live on through the countless lives he impacted. Friends and family will forever cherish the memories, stories, and lessons shared.
