Elijah Antwan Mitchell

Elijah “Twan” Mitchell was born on August 7, 1987, and departed this life on March 12, 2026, at the age of 38.

He was born to Reginald Mitchell, Sr. and Elnora (Ernest) Hawkins of Macon, Georgia. Elijah attended Southwest Magnet High School. He was known for his laid-back spirit, his warm personality, and his ability to bring laughter wherever he went. Elijah was always cracking jokes, keeping those around him smiling, and lifting the mood even in serious moments.

He frequently visited Mt. Hope Baptist Church. Elijah loved fishing, grilling, and working on cars with his stepfather, Ernest Hawkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his significant other, Jomekia Howard; his children, Amarion Howard, Jamarion Howard, Ja’khia Howard, Jaliyah Howard, Jada Mitchell, Jayla Mitchell, and Elijah Howard; his parents, Reginald Mitchell, Sr. and Elnora Hawkins; and his siblings, Reginald (Whitney) Mitchell, Brandon (Ashley) Mitchell, Monica (Anthony) Ivey, Myya Johnson, Raven Cherry, and Alexis Hawkins.

He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Elijah will be remembered for the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the way he could brighten any room just by being himself. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
