Elaine Holmes Jones

Ms. Elaine Holmes Jones was born December 28, 1954 in Macon, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Edmond and the late Mrs. Allene Hines Holmes. She was educated in the Bib6 County Public School system, graduating from Central High School, Class of 1973.

She began her working career at Bi66 Manufacturing Company (Bibb Mil), First Data Corporation, and retired from Bass Pro Shop.

Elaine was united in marriage to Mr. Freddie Jones.

Elaine joined Greater Lizzieboro Baptist Church at an early age. She was deeply devoted to her church and church family. She faithfully served on various auxiliaries: a Church Trustee, member of the GLB Women Ministry, Missionary Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, and member of the Union Brothers and Sisters Prayer Society. She served passionately on the Pastor Support Group. Her faith and dedication to God was evident in all aspects of her life. Her warm smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Holmes; and oldest nephew, Precell Brooks, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: brothers, Precell Brooks, Sr. and Eddie (Ozella) Holmes; sister, Kathryn Holmes; nieces, Latesha Brooks and Kimberly McLin; nephew, Keith Holmes; several great nieces and nephews; a "sister-in-law", Gloria Brooks; other relatives,
friends and church family.
