Edward William Holt, Jr was born on June 14, 1950, to the parentage of Edward William Holt, Sr and Claudia Mae Poole-Perkins.
A native of Macon, GA, he was educated in the Bibb County School System. He attended and graduated from Ballard Hudson Senior High in 1969. Then later employed with AC White Moving Company, Cherokee Brick & Town Tower. Brown & Willams. He retired from the City of Macon Public Work/Landfill of 20 years, he loved dearly. Edward was a father, a loving husband, and a man who love anyone he came across in his path. A dedicated hard-working man. Edward was a former member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church on Antioch Rd. His smile always lights up the room.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, Edward departed the life and entered into glory to be with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife Shelia Spencer Holt. He is survived five children lesha Holt, Edward Holt, Danielle Echols (Mike), Shanielle Fields (Rashad), and Jarvis Holt. He also leaves behind nineteen grand-children, and two great grand-children. Ten siblings: Barbara Williams, Gloria Penniman, Cynthia Samples, Vivian Rhodes, Jacquelyn Mullins (Terrell), Yolanda Middleton Wendell Middleton, Sr. Kelvin Middleton and Vonda Middleton A Dedicated Family Friend.
