Eddie Calhoun Obituary

Eddie Louis Calhoun, Jr. was born December 1, 1966 to Shirley Faye Duggan Calhoun and Eddie Louis Calhoun, Sr. at the Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

He graduated from Henry W. Grady High in 1984 and was loved by all his peers.  He was very free spirited, loved the Braves baseball team and dad a whole lot.  He was a collector of things that made him happy.  At a young age, Eddie worked at the Georgia Dome during the Braves game.  Eddie is a 12 year stroke survivor and used each day as a way to take his personal power back by going wherever he wanted and doing whatever he wanted.

He was very proud of himself.  He was a great artist, a lover of music and was a legend in his own right of the neighborhood he grew up in Techwood Homes.  Although Eddie didn’t have any children and never married he did have a long time girlfriend, Bridgett Cotton whom he loved and cherished very much for 28 years.

Eddie was preceded in death by his dad.

Eddie leaves behind to cherish his precious memories his mother, Shirley Calhoun; a sister, Glenda Calhoun; a brother, Rico Calhoun; an aunt, Alfreda Gibbs and a loving niece, Kamora Calhoun.
