Dorothy Elaine “Lane” Moss, a beloved mother, sister, niece, aunt was born in Macon, Georgia on July 12, 1956 to the parentage of George A Moss and the late Angeline Murray Moss Ellis.
Lane received her education through the Bibb County School System attending Eugenia Hamilton and Dudley Hughes Vocational School. She also attended Middle Georgia State University as an education major.
Lane relocated to Trenton, New Jersey for some years, but eventually relocated back to her hometown of Macon, Georgia.
Lane was employed at several local establishments in the Middle Georgia area where she made an abundance of lifelong friends. Lane enjoyed a good life with her family and friends. She left a legacy of love and kindness, and her presence will be greatly missed.
Lane was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 8, 2018. She became a Pioneer on March 3, 2023. She was a very loving, active, and dedicated member.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Angeline Murray Moss Ellis. Her maternal grandparents, Corinne Murray and Tom Murray. Her paternal grandparents, Moses Moss and Ida Lou Stephens Moss.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Rico D Moss of Macon, Georgia; father, George Moss of Macon, GA; sisters, Brenda Gonzales (Ramon) of Trenton, New Jersey, Bertha Moss of Conway, South Carolina, and Angela Ellis (Bashawn) of Princeton, New Jersey; brothers, Kelvin “Joe” Murray of Trenton, New Jersey, Kenneth Moss (Audrey) of Trenton, New Jersey, Leotis Moss of Macon, Georgia, and Joseph Moss of Trenton, New Jersey; bonus sisters, Janice Hill of Macon, Georgia and Patricia Colbert of Macon, Georgia; a devoted aunt, Azzilene Moss Smith of Macon, Georgia; devoted friends, Juanita Lewis of Macon, Georgia and Barbara Ann Jackson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
