Donald Kelley, the beloved son of the late Auerlious and Hattie Lovett Kelley, was born on July 16, 1961. Donald was affectionately known to many as “Uncle Don,” he lived a full and meaningful life centered around love, faith, and family. On Monday, October 20, 2025, Donald peacefully slipped away in his own way. He lived his life to the fullest, Donald loved his family dearly and was a true caring uncle to his two nephews, Jabbar Kelley and James Balcom III, who preceded him in death.
Donald was a member of the Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Adult Choir. He loved his church family. He loved to greet his church family with “Hey, how you doing? and Have a bless day.”
Donald was a caring person and would help anyone if he could. Donald was educated in the Bibb County Public School system. Donald worked for LE Schwartz and Son Roofing Company, Bates Roofing Co., Southern Fabrication for ten years in Byron, Georgia, Perdue Camille Plant for three years in Forsyth, Georgia and a few other jobs during his life.
Don loved spending time with his brothers, sisters, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he enjoyed dearly.
Donald was preceded in death by his twin sister, Diana; wife, Nicole J. Kelley and his companion, Ms. Gwendolyn Denise Hoskins.
In Donald's passing he leaves behind a legacy of love to all that knew him. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his devoted brothers, Larry (Lonnie) Kelley, Sr., Llwellyn (Lisa) Kelley; sisters, Shirley Kelley, Sybil K. (James) Balcom, Harriette K. Banks and Beverly K. (Walter) Goodson; God Brother, James Rumph, Sr. and Jerome Williams; nephews, Darrell Kelley, Chucky D. Balcom, Larry Kelley, Jr., Keshone Warren, Jermaine and Tyree Kelley, Charles Banks, Jr., Tywan Demry, Kristopher Kelley, Terrell Goodson, Derrick Goodson; nieces, Tissa Kelley, Dee Demry, Bianca C. Kelley, LeKeiklia J. Tremble, Keila D. Ambers, Micah R. Kelley, Necole Goodson and Shontai Davis and a host of great nephews and nieces.
