Dion Khalil (Jr.) Vanzie

Dion Khalil Vanzie was born on November 5, 1997 in Syracuse, New York. In 2o02, his family relocated to Macon, Ga. Sadly, Dion departed this world January 16, 2026 at the age of 28.

Dion was the beloved son of Jeanette Hutchins and Dion Vanzie Sr. He is survived by his loving siblings: Kwandai Villareal, Janya Cooper, Zakaila Hutchins, and Rania Hutchins who will forever cherish the memories they created together .He is also survived by his aunt, Alice Hutchins and his uncle Michael Parks. He was preceded in death by his sister Chardai Hill and his grandparents Geneva Parks and William Hutchins.

Even though life threw twists and turns at Dion he earned his GED in 2023 from Riverbend
Correctional Facility. On November 10, 2023 Dion joined The Nation of Islam. The affiliation brought him a sense of belonging and a renewed perspective on life.

Dion's spirit and memory will forever remain with us all.
