Dexter Smith

Dexter Smith was born September 7, 1964 to the parentage of Barbara Jean Jackson and Douglas Smith, Sr.  He was educated in the Bibb County School system attending Southwest High School.  

He was employed with Georgia Asphalt and Walmart before becoming disabled.

On November 13, 2023, Dexter departed this earthly life.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Jean Jackson and Douglas Smith, Sr.; siblings, Valeria Smith, Douglas Smith, Jr. and David Card; aunts, Sandra Knight and Virginia Howard; uncles, Charles Smith, Johnny Smith, Roy Smith and Robert Smith.

Dexter leaves to cherish his precious memories to his son, Marquez Jones, Sr.; grandchildren, Marquez Jones, Jr., Kayden Hill, Torriyah Porter, Klya Redding and Island Coon; sisters, Gloria Card, Buelah Card, Pearl Neal and Teresa Mays; aunts, Patricia Harris, Brenda Smith and Ethel Hawkins; uncles, Willie James Smith, Micheal Jackson and Larry Jackson; devoted nieces, Kymichia Smith; close friends, Christopher Watkins and Marvin Collier; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
