Mr. Deonta Lil Michael Hodges was born on July 11, 1993, and departed this life on September 13, 2025. He attended Rutland High School and worked many jobs while living in Indianapolis before returning home to Macon, Georgia, where he was employed as a packer. Deonta was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, always giving his best in everything he did. His determination and willingness to provide for himself and his loved ones left a lasting example of perseverance and responsibility.
Deonta will be remembered most for the love he shared with his family and the special moments spent together. He had a kind, loving spirit and brought joy to those around him. Family was the center of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to be with them. His presence filled gatherings with warmth, laughter, and love. To know Deonta was truly to love him, and his absence will leave a void that can never be replaced.
Deonta was preceded in death by his uncle, Vernon Lane.
In his passing, Mr. Hodges leaves charitable memories to his mother, Deborah Johnson; father, Michael Hodges, Sr.; devoted step-parents, Tavares Booker and Delores Hodges; grandmother, Bertha Hodges; three sisters, Jessica Porter, Crystal Porter, India Hodges; three brothers, Terry Johnson, Michael Hodges, Jr. and Elbert Jordan; one niece, Ki’Yonna Johnson; eight nephews, Ja’Montez Porter, Mason Porter, Terry Johnson, Jr., Tristan Johnson and Kaydan Johnson and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
