Deloise W. Smith

Deloise W. Smith was born May 1,1947 in Dublin, Georgia. She passed peacefully in her sleep on October 5, 2025.

On June 11, 1975, she was married to the late  John Smith for  49 years  and to this union they had two children, Joel Smith and Erica Smith and granddaughter, Kimberly Smith.

Deloise Smith retired as the Coordinator of Sterilization at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey after 30 years.

Deloise had an infectious smile and jovial zest for life that inspired and motivated everyone that crossed her path. She was bold, well travelled and loved to laugh. She had a keen eye for shopping and often enjoyed a good meal with fellowship and laughter. She was devoted to her children and granddaughter.

She was a member of Victory Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Macon, Georgia and a prior member of Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Newark New Jersey.

Deloise was known for her Faith, Boldness and always advocated for what’s right. Guided by faith, her courage in life and advocacy for the layman, inspired all who knew her.
