Deacon Willie Bee Bell (Snake) was born on November 2, 1944, to the parentage of Roxanne Riggins (Jerry) Bell and Ambrose Turner in Dry Branch, Georgia. He attended Twiggs County School System for his education and was later employed with Conagra Flour Mill for twenty-five plus years.
Snake was also the neighborhood plumber, well man and so much more. He joined New Bethlehem Baptist Church at a very young age and became a deacon of the church in 2010.
He was preceded in death by Wanda Jackson, Darryl Bell and Devin Bond.
Willie leaves to cherish his amazing memories, a loving and caring family and wife, Ethel Mae Thomas Bell of fifty-eight years; sons, Willie Bell, Jr., Andre (Christina) Bell and the late Darryl Jermaine Bell; daughters, Cynthia Bell, Kathy (Derek) Bond and the late Wanda Vanessa Jackson; Goddaughter, Shamona (Gary) Davis; brother, the late Jerry Bell; sisters, Phyllis (Leroy), Beverly, Jackie and the late Avarilla Smith and Lillie Campbell; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; aunts, Alberta Hill, Ruthie Marcus and Rebecca Riggins; uncle, Perry Turner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hampson (Lou) Washington, Jay (Rose) Thomas and William Wimberly. Lastly, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
