Dayla Coley Obituary

Dayla Coley was born in Macon, Georgia, on January 30, 2011 to her loving parents, Tabatha Coley and father, James Watson. From the moment she entered this world, she brought light and joy to everyone around her.

Dayla had a soul that shone with unparalleled beauty and kindness. Her bright smile and infectious laughter had a magical way of lighting up any room she entered. A true friend to all, she always made those around her feel loved, valued, and special. Her heart was full of compassion, and she touched the lives of so many with her generous spirit and unwavering positivity. Her energy was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

An active and enthusiastic eighth grader at Howard Middle School, Dayla embraced life with a sense of adventure and a passion for learning. She was not only an excellent student but also a proud participant in various school activities. From playing softball to wrestling and participating in community boxing, she displayed remarkable determination and skill. Dayla loved being part of a team and cherished the friendships she made through her involvement in these activities. Her dedication and enthusiasm inspired those around her to strive for their best.

Beyond her accomplishments, Dayla was a true lover of life. She had a curious and adventurous spirit, always eager to explore the world around her. Whether it was through her love of books, music, or art, she embraced every opportunity to discover something new and beautiful. She found joy in spending time with her friends, sharing stories, laughter, and unforgettable memories.  Dayla’s zest for life was truly contagious, and she encouraged everyone she met to live fully and appreciate the little things.

She is survived by her loving mother, Tabatha Coley (Clarence Jackson); her father, James Watson; her devoted siblings, Anissa Clark, James Jerrell Watson, Diamond Patmon, Dasia Coley, Damarion Watson, and Dakota Coley; and her cherished aunts, April (Jerry) Hill and Tasha Coley. Dayla was deeply loved by her best friends, Kamyah Stephens and Vokeria King, along with the six remaining members of their close-knit group chat. She will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the beautiful legacy she left behind.

As we remember Dayla, we celebrate the extraordinary person she was. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her time with us was far too brief, her impact was immeasurable, and her memory will live on forever. Rest in peace, sweet Dayla, knowing that you were deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
