David Jones
Obituary
David was born February 12, 1949 to the late George and Mary L. Jones.
David attended the public school system in Macon, Georgia. He joined the Greater Bellevue Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed in several jobs during his lifetime. He loved sports but preferred basketball and football, he also loved board games especially chess when he enjoyed playing with his brother, Pee Wee.
He departed this life on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Rehabilitation Health Center after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lundy; four siblings, Lavada Dent, Ollie Howard, Ethel (Jack) Gibson and Melvin Jones.
David leaves to cherish his memories three siblings, Marvin (Carol) Jones, Georgia Jones Booker and Mary Jones Gay; one brother-in-law, Willie J. Booker of North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews and a large family whom he loved dearly.
