Cress Waldell Bonner (Dell) was born to the parentage of the late Cress Lee Bonner and Ruby Jean Cody Bonner in Macon, Georgia on July 7, 1958.
Cress Bonner attended and graduated from Duresville Elementary, Southwest High School, Morehouse College and Emmanuel Bible College. He had a number of jobs over the years and was an active member at his church, Covenant Church of Jesus Christ in Macon, Georgia. He’s been honored and awarded many certificates and trophies for his service to God and God’s children.
Cress Bonner became saved in his early 30’s and was committed to the Christian Church. His main goal in life was to let every individual he encountered know about God, his plans and goodness no matter what flaws you possessed so that they’ll one day be received into the Kingdom of Heaven.
On Friday, August 1, 2025, Cress Bonner was called home at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Bonner; mother, Ruby Jean Cody Bonner; step father, Wilmer Woodson and brother, Prentice Bonner.
Cress Bonner leaves precious memories to be cherished by his children, Mark Bonner of New York, Alicia Bonner, Nathan Bonner (Kathryn Bonner), and Maurice Bonner; two grandchildren, Truly and Ruby Bonner. He also leaves behind loving memories with his Great Uncle, Dr. Milton Bonner of Columbus, Georgia; his uncle, Mr. Robert Bonner, Sr. of Macon, Georgia; his siblings, Vanessa Sevier, Geames Bonner, Tuwanna Harrod and Quinton Woodson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
