Cora Gibson was born in Forsyth, Georgia on November 2, 1953, to the parents of the late Edward Gibson and Illene Hudson Gibson. Cora departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen Thrash, Roscoe Gibson, Edward Singleton, Wilmer Gibson and sisters, Flora Gibson Evans and Mattie Mitchell.
Cora received her education from the Monroe County School Systems. She joined Little Rogers C.M.E Church at an early age.
Cora had a smile and laugh that would light up any room, she loved to watch the soap operas, The Young and The Restless and Guiding Light were her favorite. Boy was she crazy about that Victor Newman. Also, in her spare time she enjoyed talking about God and singing gospel songs. Cracking jokes was her thing, she always had something to say to get a good laugh out of you. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Cora leaves to cherish her memories to her devoted sister who cared for her until her transition, Bessie (George) Moran, Sr. of Forsyth Georgia, Joyce (Clifford ) Alford of Culloden, Georgia; brothers, Nathaniel Gibson of Marietta, Georgia, Willie James Gibson of Macon, Georgia and Frank Singleton of Macon, Georgia; devoted nieces, Marlo Moran, Thishilyn ( Rodney) Stubbs; devoted great nieces, Lucy Moran, Karmyn Moran and Kinsley Moran; devoted nephew, George (Lorina) Moran, Jr; devoted great nephew, Tarvoris Moran and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who mourns her passing.
