Charlie Nixon Obituary

Mr. Charlie Nixon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully transitioned from this life on October 21, 2025, in Macon, Georgia. He was born on August 19, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Annie Mae and Charlie Nixon.

Charlie received his education through the Bibb County School System. He discovered early in life a love for hard work and craftsmanship, which led him to a lifelong career as a skilled painter. His trade took him across the country-even to the West Coast-where he left his mark on homes, buildings, and hearts alike. Charlie worked faithfully and diligently until his health no longer allowed him to continue.

In 1981, Charlie united in holy matrimony with Mrs. Patricia Diann Nixon, his devoted wife and lifelong companion. Their union was blessed with a beautiful family whom he loved deeply and unconditionally.

He was a quiet and humble man who reflected the love of God in his words and actions. A devoted member of his church, Brother Charlie loved his pastor and his church family, serving with a spirit of faithfulness and kindness that touched everyone he encountered.

Charlie leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Patricia Diann Nixon; two devoted sisters, Barbara Ann Nixon and Mary Francis Smith (Clinton); his cherished children, Theresa Laverne Nixon, Alisha Shan Askew (Glenn), and Charles Robert Nixon; ten treasured grandchildren, Trevon, Lil Ricky, Jhamiya, Rickey, Rico, Ricardo, Jamaal, Kelsey, and Jakel; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and dear friends who will forever remember his gentle spirit and loving heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Mae and Charlie Nixon, and his beloved children, Timothy Nixon and Yosmin Latrell Nixon and grandson, Octavious Nixon.

Though Charlie's earthly journey has come to an end, his legacy of love, humility, and faith continues to shine through all who knew him. His life reminds us that greatness is found not in words but in the quiet strength of a heart filled with love.
