At an early age, Charles received his education in Crawford County School Systems class of 1969. During his early adulthood, Charles moved to Edison, New Jersey where he started his career with Ford Motor Company in August of 1970. Charles was the Team Leader for the B-Crew. With 31 years of commitment to Ford. He later retired in the summer of 2001.
Charlie loved being around his family and friends, from cook-outs, block parties, and traveling. He had a big heart for everyone he met. He enjoyed taking pictures of everyone at all of the gatherings. He also loved his Blues music, Budweiser, and DO NOT FORGET the Newport Shorts Soft, and that 1988 Ford Crown Vic "black beauty" was his baby.
Charles met the love of his life, as he calls her "My Wife", in Detroit, Michigan in 1993 while traveling for work with Ford Motor Company. Charles and Karen was united in holy matrimony on the 8th day of July in 1995, with a beautiful wedding with many family in friends in attendance. To this union, one daughter was born, Kendra Hollis "Buttercup".

Charles Hollis lived a life of purpose, love, and dedication. He was a husband, a father, a paw paw, and a friend. He was the kind of person whose presence lifted others, whose laughter was infectious, and whose counsel was invaluable. As we reflect on his life today, we celebrate not only the man he was but the legacy he leaves behind-a legacy of love, kindness, and a unwavering commitment to helping others.
Though Charles will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His life serves as a reminder of the power of love, the importance of family, and the beauty of a life lived in service to others.
