Bruce Calvin Pope, born on May 16, 1955, was a man of remarkable character, integrity, and devotion. Educated in the Bibb County Public School system, Bruce carried with him a strong sense of community and responsibility throughout his life. He dedicated his career to serving others as a maintenance technician, where his skills and reliability became the cornerstone of his professional reputation. Whether it was the middle of the night or the crack of dawn, Bruce was always ready to lend a helping hand, ensuring that no call for assistance went unanswered. His years of service at the Macon Telegraph, where he worked for over a decade, reflected his commitment to hard work and excellence.
Bruce had an extraordinary passion for mechanics, spending countless hours working at apartment complexes, specializing in HVAC and occasionally working on cars.
