Bruce Lawrence was born January 20th, 1952 to the late Richard T and Gladys Lawrence in Macon, Georgia. He was the fifth child of six children. He departed this life on May 25th, 2025 age 73 at Pine Pointe Hospice facility in Macon, Georgia with his daughter by his side.
Bruce was a gentle, generous and loving soul who loved his family and friends and was dedicated to his painting career. He was educated in the Bibb County Public School System and worked for Casteel Construction for more than 40 years. Bruce was known to many as a sharp dresser, a great dancer, a good cook and the BEST painter on this side of Heaven. His most important job was Dad and Papa to his only daughter and two grandchildren.
Bruce left to cherish his great memories: one devoted daughter, Valencia M. Lawrence of Jacksonville, Florida; one granddaughter, India J. Harvey, of Decatur, Georgia; one grandson, Nathan T. Harvey Jr of Lithia Springs, Georgia; two sisters, Patsy Williamson and Althea Diane Thomas of Macon, Georgia; three sister-in-laws, Roxie Lawrence and Mary Lawrence of Macon, Georgia and Diane Lawrence of Chicago, Illinois and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his immediate family to cherish his memories, Bruce was truly loved by The Casteel and Calhoun Families; Mike, Cindy, Charlie, Bailey, Scott and Michael.
Though he may have left this earth, his memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
