Brandon Young was born December 1, 1989 to the parentage of Paula Spencer and Terry Young in Macon, Georgia, where he was raised.
He received his education in the Bibb County School system. Brandon enjoyed music and singing. At the age of nine he became a member of a gospel choir, “The Mountain Movers.” They sang throughout Macon and the Middle Georgia area. By the age of ten, he was singing with recording artist, “The Mountain Movers.”
Brandon loved the outdoors. He would go outside to play and would stay out all day until he was called indoors. He had a very big heart and gave freely. His favorite color was blue. Brandon loved rap music, especially Lil Boosie. He was well-known through the community as the “Great By.” Brandon brought joy, laughter and smiles to everyone he met.
On November 10, 2023, Brandon departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Young and grandmother, Sylvia Young.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories Paula (Tyrone) Lattimore; he was blessed to had a second mom, Chantay Smith who loved him dearly; siblings, Yolanda (Darrius) Coach, Brittany Lattimore and Amicia Hill; three brothers, Christopher Hill, Bernard Smith, Jr. and Lawrence Rozier; dedicated aunt, Paulette Spencer; nieces, Tamarah and McKenzie; honorary cousins, April Raven, Morgan and Jimell; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
