In loving memory of Bobbie Jean Rainey, a beacon of light and love who graced this world was born April 17, 1958, to the loving parents of Edward Rainey, Sr. and Beulah Sanders Rainey and was educated in the Macon-Bibb public school system.
Her family and friends remember her always keeping a smile on her face, very friendly, and having a good sense of humor. Bobbie was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence brought joy to all who knew her.
Bobbie was the epitome of grace and kindness. She was raised in a close-knit family that instilled in her the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance. Bobbie’s warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and her gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Throughout her life, Bobbie was a devoted aunt to her beloved nieces and nephews, a nurturing mother to her son, support team for her siblings, and a loyal friend to many. She found immense joy in simple pleasures, whether it was cooking meals for her loved ones or sharing laughter with friends over a case of beer.
Bobbie Jean departed this earthly life on January 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Rainey Sr., and Beulah Sanders Rainey; son, Prentice Leon Rainey; brother, Edward Rainey Jr., and sister, Diane Rainey (Adams).
As we bid farewell to Bobbie, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire us all. Bobbie is survived by her loving family and a host of friends who will forever cherish her memory. She leaves to cherish her memories: sister, Mary Lizzie Rainey Jackson (Gibbs); brothers, Alexander (Rita) Rainey; Joseph Rainey; Christopher Rainey; Anthony (Sonia) Haynes; Stevie Rainey and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. As we gather to honor the memory of Bobbie, let us take comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace, surrounded by the love of her heavenly Father.
