Arrie Mae Rowland was born to the parentage of the late Johnnie Mae and Eugene Wooten, Sr. on March 21, 1950, in Macon, Georgia. She was educated in the Bibb County Public School System and graduated from Ballard Hudson. She also attended Wesleyan College.
Arrie was a member of the Mother Board at Greater Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully for 45 years. She united in Holy Matrimony to the late Johnny Lee Rowland; they were married for 33 years before he transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father.
Arrie was not only preceded in death by her parents and husband, but also by her sister, Annie Laura Rutland and brothers, Eugene Wooten, Jr., Roland C.B. Wooten, Willie James Wooten, Sr. and Bobby Lee Wooten, Sr.
God's Heavenly Angels escorted Arrie home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Arrie leaves behind to cherish her love and memories her children, Karen (Randy) Corbin and Willie James (Lakeisha) Denmark Jr.; her brother, Roger (Brenda) Wooten; five grandchildren, Tiffany and Tyler Howard, Dominique, Channing, and Devin Denmark; three great grandchildren, Eliana Callaway, Anastasia Brown, and Braydon Blow. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
