Mrs. Ardell Howard was born in Roberta, Georgia on March 20th, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Felton Howard Sr. and Mrs. Bessie Mae Howard. She was preceded in death by seven of her siblings: Mattie Miller, Daisy Knight, Almena Colbert, C. H. Howard, Andrew Howard, Felton Howard Jr., Marie Davis; a stepson: Winfred Davis and a son-in-law: Rodney Haney.
She joined the Shiloh C.M.C. Church at an early age and later moved her membership to Bethel C.M.E. Church, now known as Bethel Independent Church in Crawford County. She was a faithful member who loved sharing God’s gift of singing and was the Mother of the Church.
Mrs. Howard was married to the late Clinton Howard Sr. on December 26th, 1956 and to this union five children were born, in whom she instilled a strong biblical foundation. She worked as a seamstress and caregiver to many children in the Crawford County area.
On Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, Mrs. Howard entered eternal rest. She was a beautiful and humble person who was loved and admired by all that knew her.
Ardell leaves to cherish and honor her memories a loving family; Gregory (Sonja) Howard of Conyers, Georgia; Jerrell (Angelia) Howard Sr. of Macon, Georgia; Vivian D. Haney of Warner Robins, Georgia; Colleen H. Jones of Macon, Georgia; Clinton Howard Jr. (Rosalyn) of Kathleen, Georgia and a stepdaughter: Patricia A. Kinsler of Corona, New York; fourteen (14) grandchildren and twenty-eight (28) great grandchildren; six (6) sisters: Ezell Felts, Willie Mae Wornum, Thelma Woods, Elaine Hollis, Bessie Jean Battle, Louise (Phillip) Bakon; one (1) brother: Calvin (Mary) Howard; and one (1) sister-in-law; Louise Willis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
