April Boston Obituary

April Denise Webster was born on March 24th 1966 in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. She was born of the parents of Bessie Mae Webster and James Daniel Webster Sr. April is the youngest of 6 children, who are Joliet Webster, Winifred Webster Jackson, Wilhemina Webster Brown, Reginald Webster, and James Daniel Webster Jr. Her siblings and parents also know her as “Sugar” which was a nick name given to her as a young child! She grew up as a member of The Historic Bethel Baptist Church along with her family, led by Reverend William Greason, who baptized her, where she became a born- again Christian, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Savior.

She began her early childhood education at Jackson Elementary School where she completed grades 1st through 8th and for grades 9th through 12th,  she attended Holy Family High School which she later received her high school diploma in 1984!  After graduating high school, she enrolled at “The” Tuskegee University located in Tuskegee, Alabama, and there April earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting, then graduating in 1988 as a valedictorian.

While at “The” Tuskegee University she met her “First” husband Federick A. Holston and about a year later they were engaged. The two “were” married for “10 years” after deciding to settle in Macon, Georgia. Together they “had” 3 beautiful children by the names of Ricco Holston, Precious Holston, and Isaac Holston. During April’s career in Macon, she worked at Washington Memorial Library starting as a Talking Books Assistant and was soon promoted to an administrative assistant position which she stayed in until her resignation!

In previous years, April was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and all three of her children were baptized under the late Pastor Eddie D. Smith Senior. She attended weekly services, sung in the choir and very involved with the usher’s ministry. During her time at Macedonia, she married her “Second husband” Johnny Boston in 2008,
which Pastor Eddie D. Smith Senior also officiated their wedding. Later April and her family joined Beulahland Bible Church under the leadership of Dr. Carlos L. Kelly.

April was known as a loving, caring, and hard-working person. She enjoyed cooking big meals for holidays, taking trips for family gatherings, having great conversations with those she loved, watching movies, sports including track & field and nascar thanks to her oldest son Ricco always glued to her tv for hours on Sunday afternoons. More, than anything, April truly enjoyed raising her children to be great adults for the future. She kept them involved in Fine Arts, watching them play, sing and dance throughout grammar school.

She was a joy to be around, intelligent, smart and kept Jesus Christ at the center of her life until the day she died. Though she faced difficult decisions in her life, she always believed in “life after death” John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his own begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. (NKJV). We know she will be missed, but great memories will live on, and believing April is safe in the kingdom of God is the one place everyone should desire to be.

April Denise Webster Boston leaves behind her three children, Ricco Holston, Precious Holston, and Isaac Holston. Her “second” husband of 17 years Johnny Boston, and her stepson Calvin Boston who is a father and grandfather.
