Annie Hudson was born Annie Meeks in Geiger, Alabama, where she began a life defined by faith, service, and love for others. Raised alongside her four siblings, she developed the caring spirit and strength that would guide her throughout her life.
She later married the love of her life, Lurander Hudson, and together they began their journey in Chicago, Illinois. While living in Chicago, Annie became a devoted member and faithful servant of the Indiana Avenue Pentecostal Church of God, where she worshiped and served for many years. It was also in Chicago that she welcomed her beloved and only child, LaVetta Hudson.
Eventually, Annie and her family relocated to Reynolds, Georgia, where she continued to live a life rooted in faith and community. There she became the First Lady of Bethel Temple Holiness Church, faithfully supporting the ministry alongside her husband, Lurander Hudson, and serving as a spiritual leader and loving friend to many. Annie also served as Secretary for the Georgia State Council, dedicating countless hours to church work and uplifting others.
Beyond her ministry, Annie had a passion for education and service. She worked as a paraprofessional at Taylor County Elementary School, where she cared deeply for the students and families she encountered. Whether in the classroom, the church, or the community, Annie was known for her willingness to help anyone in need. She possessed a truly caring and serving heart.
Annie loved to sing and found joy in lifting her voice in praise and encouragement. She was a trusted confidant, loyal friend, and a pillar of strength within her community and to her loved ones. Above all, she cherished her family and was a loving wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her.
Annie Hudson peacefully departed this life on March 3, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, LaVetta Hudson, and her granddaughter, Jerrica Goodman, her siblings Solomon, James, and Sammy Louis Meeks, and many nieces and nephews who will forever treasure her wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love.
