Amber LaShay Davis was born on September 2, 1992, to the parentage of Andre Davis and the late Fonda Foster. She was reared in St. Luke AME Church until they moved to High Point, North Carolina.
Amber attended Mattie Wells Elementary School in Jones County and Clifton Ridge Middle School. Upon moving to High Point, North Carolina, she attended and graduated from T.W. Andrews High School. She furthered her studies at Leon’s Beauty School in High Point, North Carolina.
Amber was a cosmetologist and worked various jobs. Her last employment was at Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Growing up, she was the big sister who loved her brothers. She would say that Savaughn and Andre were her babies. We would tell her “no” they’re your father and mother’s babies. Being bossy, she would still say they’re her babies.
Amber liked fixing your hair as a child. Her hobbies were listening to music and telling jokes. She was also known to be outspoken at times. She was a true friend and a good listener. She would love to smile and be happy.
Amber was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Fonda Foster; maternal grandparents, Felton and Thelma Foster and paternal grandparents, Giles and Inez Davis.
Amber’s precious memories are cherished by her daughters, Brooklyn McConico and Aniyah McConico; her father, Andre Davis (Torronica); brothers, Savaughn Davis and Andre Davis, Jr.; sister, Zamaria Davis; aunts, Tracye Davis, Kimberly Wilson, Tamblyn Raines (Melvin), Heather (Gabriel); uncles, Kensley Freeman (Susie), Michael Sullivan; great aunts, Cheryl Davis, Mary R. Cabiness, Mary Rivers, Ernestine Rivers, Emma Jean Sanders; great uncles, Jessie Rivers, Douglas Rivers and Grady Davis; one niece, Kamiyah Davis and a host of cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
