Adeldrea McClendon was born on January 29, 1974, to the late Christine Brown and Samuel McClendon in Boynton Beach, Florida. On September 26, 2025, she quietly slipped away to be with her Lord and Savior. Throughout her life, Adeldrea was known for her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and ability to light up any room she entered. Affectionately known as “Dap,” she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. She poured her heart into everything she did, especially when it came to cooking delicious meals for her family and friends, creating memories that will forever be cherished.
Adeldrea deeply loved her family and treasured the moments spent together, whether gathered around the table sharing laughter or simply enjoying one another’s company. Her greatest joy in life came from being a grandmother — a role she embraced with immense pride and unconditional love. She was devoted, caring, and always willing to go above and beyond for her loved ones.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Christine Brown; grandmother, Bertha Walker; great grandmother, Viola Duhart; uncle, Odell Brown; niece, Ke’Nyiah Marshall; nephew, Brantley Williams-Reese and devoted friend, Hugh Edwards.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories daughter, Jaquesta McClendon, daughter Nigeria McClendon, son Sin’Qunn McClendon, grandson Jaylyn Foster, granddaughter Janiah Davis, sister Greta Lambert, sister Carmilla McClendon, sister Joni Williams (Jimmy), sister Melissa McClendon, brother Cedric Dean, brother Michael McClendon (Tameko), brother David McClendon, sister Melinda Martin, brother Eric McClendon (Jackie), sister Christina Sparks, brother Jeremy Adams, brother Anthony Braswell ( Valerie), sister Joy McClendon; God sisters, Angel (Kate) Glawson and Cyndricka Battle-Howard and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
